I have often wondered what has happened to our old players. What are they doing now? Anyone have any knowledge? :

I was there on Friday as I am at every home match and have been since Owlerton days. My voice has just about returned. I was just enquiring where the old timers were and what they were doing now.
Just interested, that's all.

Plenty still in the game, obviously - Daryl, Beans, Tubbs, Gary Hetherington, Martyn Wood amongst others.

Gamma is a window cleaner.

Kello has a pub in Batley (opposite Tesco, if you're thirsty).

Dave Close has a building company.

Jack Howieson runs sports classes for kids - and maybe adults soon.


It's a hell of a big question. And it's not always the first one I ask .........
