Graham Alexander today came on near the end of Preston v Charlton to make his 1023rd and last appearence in league football,he then scores a 20 yard free kick in the last minute with his last touch and goes into the crowd to celebrate and the ref decided to book him what a tool the ref is.If there was any time to let off a player for overdoing the celebration it was today at Deepdale.

Really? When Rooney scored that winner against City, it was the 'greatest goal ever' and the greatest in PL. When Chelsea went through against Barca, some parts of the media claimed it greater than Istanbul.

It's the nature of any fan to claim something as the 'greatest', but when he says "greatest hat-trick I've seen", who are you to tell him he's seen better? I said before it's one of the best I've ever seen, probably because I can't recall all three goals from all of the hat-tricks I've seen. If I was given a compilation, I could make a decision upon certainty, but it was an outstanding hat-trick with three high quality goals.
