Yeah, all the fans booing at end weren't bothered at all. You pop up when United hit a bad spell, bit of an exodus as we were building up the lead and Liverpool were still getting bummed at home by pub teams. Then conveniently pop up when you have a cup final. Superb stuff.

I was there and nobody booed so I don't know where you got that from. Given that our league campaign is over and we have a final on Saturday we were always going to play a weakended team and Fulham beating us wouldn't of been a suprise. Any team who makes 9 changes is going to struggle. Even our 17-year old youngster Sterling was given a run out.

Surely you're not suggesting Dalglish intentionally put out an understrength side with one eye on the cup final.

Wayne Rooney's overhead kick has been voted the best goal in Premirship hisory. Its not even the best overhead kick in PL history nevermind the best goal

I said the other week one of the old "big 4" would win every award, its a joke. I bet Beckhams or Cantona's were right behind it too!

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

Re: The Football Chat (cont) : Thu May 03, 2012 11:16 pm
For me the order is.

Di Canio (head and shoulders above) any.

Rooney

Erik Edman (Tottenham vs Liverpool at Anfield, Circa 2003??) I don't think that one even made the bloody shortlist for that season, despite it being the best long range strike seen in Prem history!

It's all a matter of opinion. Like for me, the Di Canio goal wasn't that special, but scissor kicks do little for me. Like any award that's done by voting, it will always divide opinion. A lot of people will moan about whatever, but these things are always silly. I bet Shay Given was on the shortlist of great goalkeepers, and probably got a fair amount of votes.

Sergio Aguero won City player of the year at club awards night. Carlos Tevez, having talked of his new sense of commitment, didn't turn up.
