Too simple for this lot Ste , but as I said having real ownership in the club is far more important then attending board meetings.
I still keep laughing at TV Boys stupidity on this topic, answer this pal - does being a shareholder/Director allow the club to spend, say, Phil's wages/savings how they wish?
The clubs liabilities are limited, the current lot have stated no more money, LISA tips in plenty each year, the shares have no value, has the new boy tipped in the £20k or is he there because of his willingness and abilities. Many companies have Directors who are not shareholders, shareholders appoint Directors - LISA must become a shareholder, as a shareholder they can vote on the appointment of Directors if they so wish, but they can guarantee financial transparency - which is what we have always been denied and why we have so many barstool know alls knocking our club at every opportunity.
Anyway Toadstool is the obvious choice. He has more knowledge and skills than any incumbant. He is handsome, virile and generous to the core. I will pay his subs
These people who do work for LISA every week, Keith, Peter, GIna, Derick, Dawn, Ian, Danielle Ivan, myself and there are others. I got the membership up to two thirds of what is was, I make sure LISA news is in the match Programme every time we have a home game. I make sure theres coaches for supporters at away games, raffle on coaches,I email, members details of meetings,do all the work for the meetings, organise whos attending, update the website, print off coupons for the forcast for some of the outlets that do them and much more .
Then theres Ian, Danielle and myself who run the pokers nights every Tuesday, that raises between £50 and £70 every week. Derick and Dawn running around dropping off forcast coupons, picking them up and marking them and updating the website, I 've done it and its very time consuming. This can make anything from £20 to £80 a week. Ivan who prints off the tickets for the coaches and drops them off at the shops to sell. Then theres Gina whos a committee member and she attends the poker and sells forcast coupons form her shop. Keith the chairman who gives up his time for LISA and he always supports events we run. Peter who is the treasurer who looks after the money side of LISA. So theres no shortage of people in my eyes who are worthy of selection. Personally I think it doesn't have to be one person it could be LISA get the seat and each month we nominate someone to do it for a month.

That is a fantastic statement Linda and shows what LISA achieves in its current state. However the idea of sending someone different each time is unworkable - the dynamics of a board are such that people need to be aware of previous discussions, not just a second-hand report but of the subtexts, side issues and personalities. Again I would advise that the first decision for LISA members is not "who should be our Board representative" but "do we wish to have a nominated Director" and arguments for and against should be given at the next LISA meeting (a la the Oxford Union!). PS - thanks for the proposed nomination Mo but I refer you to my earlier post on the matter
Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

I'd agree, rather than having board representation, the only thing LISA really needs/should demand is access to the current accounts when requested , this information should be available to the chairman and accountant, So Keith and Peter, if then in their opinion things are not being done in a correct manner , appropriate action with regards LISA s contributions can be taken

That is as far as it goes IMO
This would represent a compromise to safeguard the funds introduced by LISA without in anyway being a threat to the independence of LISA - without this independence the very existence/purpose of LISA is called into question.
LISA is well respected by all stakeholders of the club, don't allow ego to overtake the good work which has been done over many years to secure something you don't need. To potentially try & find your representative could quite easily cause more trouble than its worth, create infighting & of major relevance cause a drop in membership numbers.
