Heard hes helping ando and ste with reserves so makes sense to keep him on a playing contract to cover for injuries

Must admit I'm a little surprised, but some of our backs are relatively inexperienced so I'd imagine he'll be a guiding light for them, especially with Littler leaving for Swinton. He hasn't let us down either on the rare occasions he's stepped in this season.

Well i am almost certain it will be a very small contract, maybe even pay as u play. Also it has alot to do with him getting a RFL testimonial.

It was announced at the forum. The deal is so he can have a testimonial, will assist with the reserves, and play if needed. Great gesture from the club.

Steves been an excellant servant to the club and I for one is glad they are looking after him

Excellent decision from the club to look after a player who has given nearly 10 yrs of blood sweat & tears to the Leigh Club it proves behond doubt that this set up looks after the people who matter players n fans alike great to see Steve get a Testimonial really deserves it ........

Whilst I don't begrudge anything that Steve gets out of next season, I do believe that a proper testimonial season should only be given to players with 10 years unbroken service to a club - I think it cheapens the achievements of others to give them out for anything less IMHO.
