What do we think will be the attendance at the weekend then? Bearing in mind England play at a sold out Huddersfield earlier in the day I think a realistic attendance would be around the 10k mark. If England weren't playing I think we could have been looking at 14k.

Well they have opened up the East stand due to demand for standing. So it's either a ploy or the West stand is close to selling out.

I think demand for the game will depend on how Fiji play tonight, if they can offer the Aussies something, like the Samoans did to NZ, then the people will come.

It would be good to see the crowd over 10k, but I'm a bit worried about that given the lack of PR about the ticket sales. A lot of the other games, Huddersfield, Rochdale, Warrington had announcements about milestone sales and then sold out. I don't remember seeing any mention of ticket sales at LP.

If you are in any doubt about going, get your tickets now. There are still discount codes that work and get you 50% off. I went to the sold out game at Warrington and it was sensational as a viewing spectacle, far more entertaining that watching Saints.

'DANCE' was still being advertised on the world cup twitter feed a couple of days ago.

A lot of those announcements for other games where made up or best guesses by fans and pundits.

Disappointing that England are on the same day. Can't see many people going to both, and with 24k~ going to that game we can only look on with envy at the likes of Warrington who have had a free day to market their game (basically).

Aussies should be a big draw though, so we should be looking for at least 12k.

Shame it's the only fixture at the ground and it's been put on an busy day.
