Salford's main problem is of course attendance; I think both our clubs would need to see 10k through the gates on a regular and consistent basis to generate the required revenue in their proposed new stadia and certainly from our point of view, that looks entirely do-able. Our crowds are up by around 30% this year and we look set to post an average for the season of over 8k. I imagine that Cas could achieve something similar.

I'm also of the belief that NM will house a football team, making the facility itself more finanically viable, but that's only conjecture at this point.

You would also have a rent to pay whereas CT wouldn't.

I believe RW said that a 10k average would mean breaking even spending the full salary cap in the new stadium for Cas so I'd presume it'd be slightly higher for Wakey given the rent they'd be paying?

I'm happy to say that I have absolutely no idea; the issue of rent, operating costs and revenue streams is a quandary for Sir Rodney and the BoD of WTW to resolve.

Is renting a cheaper option than owning and maintaining? I dont know, I suppose it comes down to how more ££ you can squeeze out of it by letting others use its facilities.

Depends on the terms, if you rent the company might take all the parking & food/drink money if they do you'd be losing out on that revenue on top of paying the rent.

Running the stadium yourself guarantees you keep all that money - which would be a considerable amount which would probably cover most, if not all maintenance costs.
