YORKSHIRE RADIO SIGNS NEW COMMENTARY DEAL FOR
ENGAGE SUPER LEAGUE XVI Yorkshire Radio has agreed a new 12-month commentary deal with the RFL for Engage Super League XVI. This new deal means Yorkshire Radio will once again be increasing the number of live games broadcast on the station to 50 during the 2011 season. The ‘Super League Live’ show hosted by Richard Stead with guest summarisers including Andy Raleigh, Danny McGuire, Ryan McGoldrick, Glenn Morrison and Wayne Godwin will have live games on a Friday night 7-10pm and a Sunday afternoon 2-6pm featuring the regions 7 Super league sides on DAB across Yorkshire. Ben Fry, station director of Yorkshire Radio, said: “We are committed to live sport and pleased to commit to another year of Super League commentary and given the response from fans to our commentary this year felt we needed to increase the number of live game to 50” Paul Kimberley, the RFL’s Commercial Director, said “We are delighted to have completed this new deal with Yorkshire Radio and are looking forward to working with them again in 2011. “Yorkshire Radio’s audience is on the increase and with 50 live games next season I am sure more and more Rugby League fans will follow their team on Yorkshire Radio” Yorkshire Radio is available on DAB Digital Radio, Sky channel 0209, and online at www.yorkshireradio.net. |
