It is absolutely absurd that Fev have won 3 more games than Sheffield yet are one place below them and Leigh have won the same number of games and are 4 places below them. I'm not blaming Sheffield, just this ridiculous system.

I dislike it intensely, if anything because i like things simple. I don't want to be fannying around looking at league tables which look like that. I hear what people say about keeping matches alive and i can understand all that but I am not one for rewarding losers. It just isn't right.

I have mixed feelings on the bonus point system.

It is odd seeing a table set out like that, but no more than the SPL at the end of their seasons when teams in the bottom half end up on more points than those above them.

Both odd systems but both serve a purpose.

There have been a few games this season already I might have lost hope in were it not for the bonus point being in place.

Bonus point is ok but I feel applied far too leniantly
12 point defeat is not an achievement (except for donny and leigh maybe)

it has evened up the league only 5pts between us and 6th. If haven beat us they go above us.

Bonus point is a joke as Sheffield are proving. If you lose you deserve nothing! If the Bonus Point is so good how come the Sooper Dooper League does not have it? ALL Leagues should be playing under one system but the lunatics will not have that and prefer making a mockery of the game.

I think the idea there could be that Super League is an entirely full time league and so the players have no reason to drop off, and there is no reason to believe that a lack of competetive rugby could occur in any game. Super League is supposed to be the top division and should be close anyway.

Of course, as teams like Celtic show, that's not exactly how it is. But I would assume that is the reason they don't use it.

i dont blame sheffield but i think the rfl mustve been totally mashed when they came up with the rule
