O/T Players looking for a winter team. : Mon Aug 03, 2009 7:47 pm  

Ashton Bears are looking for players to further strengthen their squad for the coming season. Playing in NWC Premier division the club are looking to build on their 1st season at this level. All new faces will be made very welcome at a club that has significant plans for the future as will players who may be looking to test themselves at a higher level than they have been playing.
Training is at 6.45pm Tuesday and Thursday at their Low Bank Road ground (Ashton) or pm me for more details.

Why are you posting here if you want players to step up a level ? perhaps you should try the NCL.

We've had a few lads playing in the summer conferences and have subsequently lost a couple to NCL teams. We're also aware that there are lads who play in the summer leagues who aren't attached to winter teams so thought there would be nothing lost posting around here. If you don't ask you don't get do you?

The NWC Premier is probably similar standard to NCL Division 2. Would be a step down for Hemel players (aside from the obvious problem), but probably not for East Lancashire players

Well on average, probably higher at the very top due to teams not meeting moving up criteria
