Game 5 - Workington Away : Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:50 pm
Favourites for this match and it's one we need to be winning if we're realistic about finishing in the top four. They'll be well-drilled and fancying themselves to put one over on us. If our defence stays as solid as it has been, even though Leak and Brown's tries at the weekend were disappointing to watch, we should return to South Yorkshire with the spoils.

Preview will be up tomorrow when I decide who the key battle will be, probably the props as grafting is a vital component in games held in Cumbria.

Prediction - Workington 14-22 Sheffield

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

Re: Game Five - Workington Away : Tue Mar 10, 2015 11:16 am
Quite annoyed by the change to 2pm k.o. Could be worse though, with Super League sides involved in televised Thursday night games arranging a change of date and times to their preceding fixtures.
No change to the mushroom syndrome for supporters of the greatest game - Fixture lists are a complete waste of time.

The Workington dual registration is a worry - they have one with the Wigan and the Workington coach,Phil Veivers, has previous coaching experience at Wigan Academy level, giving him a knowledge and trust that other coaches cannot boast.

Interesting to read of an injury worry to James Davey with Logan Tomkins at Workington.
It will be even more interesting to see Lewis Tierney - son of Jason Robinson - playing full back for Workington.

Most difficult game of the season, thus far.

Hoping for less penalties and scrums than on Sunday.

Hoping for a good turn out of Eagles fans backing our players. :thumb:

Edit - May Be More Wigan Than First Thought

Why is it a 2.00pm kick-off as some Workington fans are asking the same question on their forum?

Aston promises changes for Sheffield - http://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_173 ... field.html

I know Ben Musolino didn't set the world alight against Dewsbury but Tubbs has forgot he even played!

Thats the thing about Italians they are sneeky some people didn't even know they were in the war!
But I thought he did ok for a first time out and I'd like to see Blake South have a go - may be instead of worrincy we probably need a bit of extra muscle and it wont be a quickies pitch!
