The match up in Cumbria will be officiated by Chris Leatherbarrow. Shouldn't be a problem if we play up to the standard we showed against London. Well and truly got egg on my face after I predicted a Broncos victory!
John Davies could play his first game for the Eagles this weekend, according to Tubbs. Hope to see a few of you up at The Recre.
Prediction - Sheffield 34-10 Whitehaven

I am just pleased your later match report finally acknowledged Michael Knowles was the expert kicker-through (through-kicker?) for the final try, wonderfully executed by Scott Turner.
The gluepot of a pitch, with it's history for flooding, may have to be considered for this game;as will the likelihood of dual reg and loan players,as well as the home players trying to impress a potential new coach - either one of the 2 in place or another to be announced soon.
Hopeful of the first victory from the 2 long schleps to Cumbria in a fortnight. ( With a top 4 battle in between - Happy Days! )

Have to credit Nicola, the marketing manager, for editing the match report I sent to the club. I was too busy somersaulting around the press box as the hooter sounded to notice who the kicker was!
Glad you asked for feedback - I like your reports and reviews - but (just a small one ) the previews aren't very previewing - more a review - if you have some inside information it would be good to know if there any team changes planned etc - maybe guessing what tactics might be - dont worry we (well at least I) would blame you if you get it wrong - but please keep it up - its a good read.

Sorry, I disagree.
If we get inside information so does the opposition!
Please keep the Eagles cards close to your chest until 90 minutes before kick off.

Thanks westridingeagle, I do get where you're coming from with the 'previews not very previewing.' Unfortunately, I don't have access to interviews with Tubbs so I don't have any team information. As you know, I go over the previous game and talk about who did what and so forth. I am thinking of doing a 'key battle' feature in the blog, a one v one that could prove to be very interesting, and maybe pivotal in the match. So for the upcoming Haven fixture I could say Dave Allen v Michael Knowles in the second row and then talk about what they bring to their respective teams.
That might be a good plan - sorry I thought you were closer to the man! No I don't think we should give the game plan away - speculation on both sides was what I was thinking - eg " Rob Worr - might be a hooker for this match" Lol
