Disciplinary : Tue May 01, 2012 5:52 pm
Szostak and McDonald both banned for two games for grade C offence (spear tackle at Keighley).

Just to put it in to perspective, Rangi Chase got a grade C for breaking Ropati's face.

It is only through Korkidas's own quick thinking that he wasn't crippled. 3 matches would have been too little a punishment never mind 2. As for the referee, what was he thinking about. Less than 10 yards from the play watching two guys tackle low and simultaneously tipping him head first (blatant and deliberate) immediate sending off. Everybody in the ground knew it (apart from Mark Aston apparently), what a cop out, he needs to miss a couple of games too to learn to have bottle.

It was a bad one, I actually think two games is about right, but if we're moving the goalposts for England internationals how are we supposed to know where we stand?

The disciplinary process needs an overhaul and consistency has never 'appeared' to be it's strong point. BUT - Szostak and McDonald couldn't have moaned if they had got 3 games for that tackle. It looked a bad un - they've copped a ban which looks on the lenient side. Fair do's.
Judge the tackle on it's own merits - NOT what someone else is perceived to have got away with!

Re: Disciplinary : Wed May 02, 2012 1:44 pm
they went to slow the momentum of the tackle down, each grabbing a leg. The player when realising the risk involve let go and the opponent then cartwheels over. The player apologised to his opponent and says that there was no intent to injure, it was purely an accident.

Is this worthy of 2 match ban, no.

Remember Gav Brown, 1st home game of new era, broken jaw, out of game for over 6 weeks and guilty party a couple of games ban....... RFL Disciplinary are a joke

..Rangi Chase....etc etc pathetic discipline proceedures,

does your face fit, is it a fancy club......

Favouritism and bias come to mind

It wasn't last season and Robbie Paul has since said that it was a complete accident, just an unfortunate incident.

Menzie has been guilty of recklessness in the past but not on that occasion.
