Its been coming since 2009, when a heavy investor gets into a club. It nearly always ends in tears. We knew as soon as a few results went against them the fans would vote with their feet and then the club finances become untenable.

I've no sympathy.

Surely the RFL must now do something about Johnston after everything Catic has written in the LE.

You assume just cos Catic has penned a piece in the LE, all of it in it's entirity must be true, that he [Catic] had no malice against Dez or Barrow RLFC, and that his motivation for writing such a piece was/is truly honourable??
Now I'm no supporter of DJ, and I agree that there is a dreadful inevitability about what is happening up at Barrow.
BUT:- Catic knew, and has known for some time what it's like up their re the coaching/management structure of the club. It didn't stop him signing for another year did it and he's had plenty of time previously to blow the gaff on Dez. But, a man who's been in bother on and off the field more times than Reggie Kray, decides that now, after being dismissed by the club for gross misconduct after several other breeches of discipline, is the time for spilling the beans????

Come on E.S.O. He may have an axe to grind, and he may well have some valid comments, but Catic has more flaws than my diet!!

What Catic said has been backed up by a few other former players on twitter and also some on the Barrow board. Plus Gary Schofield has said will reveal all once his legal issues with the Raiders are done.

It might not all be 100% genuine but there's no way he's made all that up and gone to press with it, like J20 says it has been backed up by several other people connected to the club and, if it is indeed a pack of lies, Des is in a great position to sue Catic for libel. So we'll see.

I feel it's no co-incidence that Hendo had a go in last week's paper and Catic has in this week's, a few people have obviously got together, decided what Des is doing is wrong and that they want to do something about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if a couple more people come out in the next few weeks airing their criticisms of Mr. Johnston and look forward to hearing Garry Schofield's version of events when his legal proceedings are concluded.

Well, actually, the point I was making was that, a couple of years ago, your average Barrow supporter would have bitten your head off if you'd criticised Des.

Now it's almost universally "Des out".
