It's been mentioned before (on the Turnbull topic) that we're short of backs, but it sounds like we're short of everything at the minute! Article of Code13 http://www.code13rugbyleague.com/2011/02/24/sheffield-eagles-desperate-for-backs-reinforcement/ says that Aston was down to 18 players for the Leigh game. Even with Misi and Q away, this is still an incredibly small squad! A couple of injuries and we're in a mess.
The article also says that youngster Benn Hardcastle has left, apparantly York were trying to sign him but that didn't materialise either. With Kyle Wood making the bench for Hudds last week that's 2 half backs down. We're starting to look creaky when you put our squads against the likes of Featherstone, Halifax, Widnes etc. I'm a little worried... |
