I think the open days in town are to try and attract the general public along but I agree, the work the club does with Hallam already, especially in terms of training facilities and players already I don't see why they shouldn't entice students.
The amount of students that live in halls around the Bramall Lane areas (must be around 4000, with the forge housing nearly 700 i think right next door to Bramall lane) and then add the huge number of students living in houses around the london road, shoreham street and ecclesall road & norfolk park area. I don't see why Eagles shouldn't peppper them with flyers for say £10 for 2 or 3 games then offer them a season ticket for say £40 for the rest of the games.
Hopefully the varsity match will be a curtain raiser to a game this year again too.
Apart from I missed watching saints and love RL the reason I started watching the eagles is that it was something to do on a sunday afternoon!
