Excellent performance, the only disappointing thing about the evening was the attendance (just over 1000) did we choose to play the game on a Friday Night ? if so why ? if we played it on Sunday Afternoon i would guess that we would get another 200 fans through the turnstiles more Leigh fans would be able to attend and people who were working Friday night could attend as well

I would have been there had it been a Sunday as would quite a number of the guys I know regularly get to away matches.

Unfortunately to get to Sheffield for a 7.30 kick off on a Fri evening in August would have meant me leaving Liverpool by 5 and I had no chance!

Sounds like a good game and well done to Sheffield on the win.

See ya in the playoffs - please play on Sunday if you are the home side!

Suits the sponsors ? Easier to sell a table in the restaurant to one bloke than hope 15 largely anonymous blokes drift in through the turnstiles ?

At some point, we'll have to work on building a crowd ........

My apologies Griff it was Westridingeagle who said we had gone BUST , not you .

Last night was a poor game in my opinion , we missed certain players , I know you had a couple missing , but I think with 2 fully fit teams on another day , it will be different , no doubt last night the seagulls deserved their win , why you went for goal with the 2 penalties is beyond me , Tubbs must have been worried , as I have said last nights result is not the end of the world , its a play-off game against Fev or yourselves away now ,we will return .Charlie KNOWS THAT .

I went into the sponsors lounge after the game and there were a lot of merry people.

Apologises Charlie I must be getting mixed up with another club from Leigh that always seems to have financial difficulties becuas they spend too much but as I said with the backing of your big brother up the road you'll be fine

By Big Brother I presume you mean Wigan ?Believe me we get NO financial help from them , maybe the occasional D-R player , and many Leigh fans don't like this arrangement , as for our Finances , being just a CLOWN Im not privy to these and don't want to be , but as far as I know we as a Club are now on sound Foundations , with a Rosy outlook ,compared to you seagulls we are getting VAST crowds .

It was reported as 1012 , for last nights game , swelled by a decent Leigh following .

As Griff so rightly says our endof the Season clash is still on , and we at Leigh are ready for it , CHARLIE KNOWS .

One option should we hit the financial rails would be to merge, now who was it that tried that in 99 ??
