1-17 outstanding, absolutely outstanding. Easily the best 80 minute performance of the season, really can't pick any faults what so ever. Dane McDonald has been playing out of his skin the last two or three games, completely deserved his tries, running really hard and making loads of yards. It's so good to have so many outside backs who know where the try line is, if we play like we did today on Thursday night we have a great chance.

A country mile (and more) between the teams today and doesn't it feel good. Why Halifax persist in picking Sam Barlow when they play us I have no idea, and nor have some 'Fax supporters I was chatting with after the match, it only gives us a man advantage. Couple this with the way Rob Worrincey played this afternoon and it's a 2 man advantage to the Eagles.

Penalty count of Fax 7 Eagles 2 in the first half ending with Sheffield 8 Fax 12
5 awarded to Eagles for holding down, one for interference, one off-side and one verbal abuse of referee(=Fax #12 to sin bin)
A complete range awarded to Fax for high tackles, holding down, not square, off-side, play the ball, interference at ptb and obstruction................ what was Thomason watching?

9 goals from11 attempts and the last one off the cross bar Tuby offered Simon £5 if it went over !!. 2 missed drop goals, and Eagles with 2 drop outs....

11 interchanges, 6 different try scorers and in the lead after 47 secs. After that never behind after 11th min. Mitch (Runner up in League Weekly Iron man Competition) deserved MoM and Q got Club Members MoM.

Simon Brown passed 250 points for the club, Joe Hirst scoring his 52nd point for club. And Jonny W scored 48th try to take him to 922 points..............not a bad afternoon's work .............

Guys, devastated i couldnt be there. I wanna say thank you for making my day and year. Cant wait for the DVD of this one. Fantastic result and well done to everyone.

Heard a lot about Barlow and hand gestures, ill have to wait and see before i comment on that.

Your attempts to ban me from all future games will fail lol. Ill be back at Leigh. You cant get away from me that easily.

I didn't think we could top the Widnes game, but we did! What a performance, what a win.

As E.S.O said, every single one of the squad was outstanding and big credit to Misi, Stringer, Vinny and Dane. Dane has been brilliant since the Batley home game and had a great game at Leigh away, earlier this season and hope he can do the same on Thursday! Great strong running and back up play from him and Misi.

Don't know what else to say, everyone was excellent!

Who won the Iron Man comp, or is it still going in the play-offs? Chris Hill was winning last time I read it but that was a good few months ago as I normally buy League Express instead.

It was active for Champ Regular games and the (I believe) Northern Rail.. but I may be wrong there..
