Have they ever actually been solvent. They now owe so much to the RFL they can't grumble if they get kick down to div 3 - as for beating the existing sides they havent yet signed any players for next season so they are hardly a safe bet for promotion. prehaps harris will get his boots back on!!!

THE EQUATION:

If Widnes earn a failure point we must overturn an eight point swing to finish 4th. If Widnes lose by more than 12 we just need to win (or draw) to finish 4th. If we lose we will finish 5th, unless we don't get a failure point and Halifax can overturn a 37 point swing, in which case we would finish 6th.

For York they must better Hunslet's result to stay in the division. If they both get the same result then York must overturn a 111 point swing to preserve their Championship status.

So basically, if my maths is right, it's all to play for.

Excellent game today,Thought we played some great open rugby,Really exciting stuff,York wernt the best but you can only beat whats infront of you,Misi has had two tremendous games on the bounce,Cant fault his comitment to the cause,Corey Hanson IMO if he continues his progress will be a 1st team shoein and possibly super league player in 2 or 3 years time,Hes got the pace and the power,If he keeps his head down he can be the real deal,Very similar to Keith Senior in his early days but a much bigger version,Keith Senior started in the 2nd row then moved to centre though,I can see the opposite happening here,Bet York breathed a sigh of relief when we brought Menzie on Totally destroyed there right side defence and crushed a couple of players Ive got me "Youve been Menzied " car sticker,50p what a bargain,Nobody will road rage with me Hope Simon Brown is okay,Looked a bad one,I think we'll win friday and then who knows.

From memory Keith started on the wing (looks to Griff or Eagleraider for confirmation!), moved into the centre and was an occasional (and reluctant), second rower.

Very efficient today but it has to be said that York weren't the best. I felt as if we didn't get out of second gear, Menzie came on and almost helped himself to a hat-trick. I also picked up an afore-mentioned car sticker .

I think we'll struggle on Friday if Brown isn't fit, and also if Menzie gets banned. However, Widnes got a bit of a shoeing today and there is reported unrest within their camp between the players who have been picked for SL and those who haven't, so who knows?
