Sheffield Eagles D Must do better

We are scoring points and have the 3rd best attack but unfortunately we are leaking points at an alarming rate 27 a game yes we are only 4 points away from the top 4 but with 2 games against London and 1 against Leigh we would have to go through the rest of the season virtually unbeaten. This is the closest championship for many years with teams from the bottom getting some surprise wins, last season Halifax finished 4th with 7 loses this season it could be 8 so that means we can only lose 1 more game and have to improve our points difference, with our defence and remaining schedule thats highly unlikely. We are only 2 points from a relegation place but it is very tight at the bottom and points are carried through to the Championship 8's so i am not worried yet !!!

London have improved and a contender for Leighs Title

Bradford are beatable but should still finish in top 4 Halifax should be thereabouts Batley started well with some excellent results but has lost 4 in a row including 2 teams fighting relegation Featherstone are a better team this year thanks to recruiting some of our players who did not want to go full time

Relegation
Workington are this years Doncaster with just one win the two teams that were promoted (Swinton Oldham) have done very well both winning 5 matches and Oldham's win at Hull KR will be remembered in Oldham for many years Dewsbury and Whitehaven have 4 wins but as we have found out this season these 4 teams are capable of an upset

Fair comment - though it's not prize money. It's funding for next season.

Grandkids back at school/nursery so at last I can get access to my own keyboard

Giving away unnecessary points is something we do far too often. How many games have you been to when we have been behind at half time, leaving us playing catch up in the 2nd half? Sometime we pull it off but far too often we lose when we shouldn't.

This season so far has been a bit of a disappointment, Workington (a), Halifax (h) and Bradford Bulls (a) show what we can do but on the other hand there is Whitehaven (h), Oldham Roughyeds (a), London Broncos(h) show the other side of what we can do. Not forgetting the narrow win against Swinton Lion in the CC which was also grim.

I was encouraged by the 2nd half display against Dewsbury Rams last Friday but oh how we needed a goal kicker - 7 tries but only 2 converted!

Hopefully this win will have given the squad a huge confidence boost.
