1st game I've been able to get too for 5 weeks or so. Disappointed with the result but pleased with the way the Eagles played. Rovers seem intent on winning 7/7 and who can blame them.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

I am not very good at arithmetic, and cannot predict correctly other scores, but it still does seem possible at this moment in time.

That seemed a huge penalty count against us,added to the quick turnaround and the 10 mins.with 12 men,and it was yet another sterling, valiant effort.

I hope the club do as equally a good job in saying goodbye to the players who are leaving. They have been immense in recent weeks, after they knew they were leaving.Fantastic from them.

Quite pleased with that myself

Interestingly,Halifax are losing at wakefield yet in the Leigh match report on the BBC the following appears - Halifax are also four points behind Bradford, but could still take Bradford's place in the Million Pound Game with victory in both of their final two fixtures.

They started the game at Wakey on 2 points and play at Bradford next week.

I may get round to trying to work out the permutations, later.

EDIT
Looked at the standings and it is Championship for 2016.

Need the victory on Sunday, just in case Bradford make Super League,so we can be the only team in next years Championship to have beaten a Super League side in the 2015 Qualifiers - and to say goodbye to some wonderful servants to the game who have as much good character as they have talent and application.

Its official the highest we can finish is 6th so no million pound match or promotion this year Leigh ourselves and Halifax will be playing in the championship next season It will be an interesting final day Wakefield need to win so should it could be our highest attendance for a while

It has to be the singularly most important game of the entire 2015 campaign.

A victory over a Super League club will mean a place in the history books and a great final memory for the departing players.

Plus, for our head coach,to finish the inaugural Qualifiers,in a higher standing than the 2 nominated coaches of the year,Messrs Marshall and Rowley, will I think,be right and proper.

If the club are to introduce, and give a little detail, about each departing player,I hope the PA system is a lot better than Friday night.

What rubbish Angelic we can not get promoted so how is it the most important game of the season ? Surely some of the back end games that got into the middle 8's take that honour, will the club gain any additional money (apart from the gate receipts) No I would rather finish higher than leigh Bradford and Halifax in the league over a 21 match season than just a 7 game mini season . Do i care if we lose on Sunday No ? Will i go on sunday ? Possibly it is an interesting game but £20 for a meaningless game i am 50/50 . It would be nice if we win a bit of kudos is all we will gain nothing more nothing less yes it is important to honour some of hard working squad players who have been with us for many years however is it just me who are wondering how we can replace them however i have got my faith in Mark aston and hopefully we can construct a team to content for a top 2 team next season

Meaningless ? If we win and the other two lose, we get nearly £¼m extra funding for 2016. Which obviously gives us a better chance next year.

Well thats news to me luckily i am wrong in this instance i was not aware of any extra funding based on the middle 8's if thats true there is something to play for (although on reflection it is probably just one players salary !!) our rivals have 2 difficult games leigh away widnes Halifax away Bradford so a win probable 6th a loss almost certain last
