So the Crusaders quit the superleague sell themselves off to new buyers effectively become a new club with a whole new staff, players everything and the RFL don't see any reason in fact garantee them a place in the champoinship. Where as the teams/ clubs that have slogged themselves hard all year Dewsbury or hunslet or York - maybe two of them will go down. Great ! - You couldn't make it up could you!!!

Sad thing, the game I love is run by complete morons. The rules should not be changed each year to expand the game or suit whatever is facing them mid season.
Rather then punish a Championship side, why not expand it. One more club will not hurt.

It never went away. It's just every three years now.

Let's not forget that the overwhelming majority of clubs - both inside and outside of $uperleague - wanted franchising. They recognise that there's more to it than just winning games. Two of the five clubs who were eligible to apply through their on-the-field performances didn't apply, which suggests that they knew they weren't up to it (at this time - doesn't mean they won't be at any time in the future).

Going full time is a huge step. You can't just pay people if they play. They need guaranteed money to pay their mortgages.

Further adds to my point about SL and NL1 getting further apart. Not closer.
