As soon as the money ran out he was off !

Best of luck...

lol so Brian Smith, who was there for one year, from 1995-96, can claim credit for "all the trophies" Bradford won.

As for Matthew Elliott, he has hardly been dominant in the NRL has he?

 very bitter over something, maybe Nobby stole your wife or something :)

There is not a lot of quality still available but i'm guessing if Noble takes this role he'll have the full cap to spend. His record is second to none at Bradford, at Wigan it is very good and some would say a victim of his own success. He took us to 5 semis, 3 of which were daylight robbery as we should never have been there.

He's completly turned Wigan around within 3 years, Great move for Celtic and RL in general. Finally get to prove the flatcappers from the lesser leagues wrong.

Very True, I would be surprised to see Celtic rock bottom next season on the back of Noble's appointment....Not pretty rugby but he will be effective with mid card players.

Fielden for you men in 2011.

Don't know how they will have a full cap to spend, I know a Crusaders player and allegedly his wages are late on a regular basis. Celtic need to sort this out sharpish otherwise players could be calling in the GMB Union as it is totally unacceptable. At the beginning of the season the it was alleged players were also only receiving 50% of their wages due as the club couldn't afford to pay them in full! Hope they get this sorted otherwise the game of rugby league could once again become the laughing stock of sports.

Once again? When were we the laughing stock of sport?
If the media paid us any attention it might be possible.
I think we've been doing alright compared to some other sports of late.

Oh gawd the insecurities of rugby league fans. Someone should write a book on it.
And yeah we are on the brink of collapse yadda yadda. Don't worry you flappers can slink back to the m62 and enjoy your ever decreasing circle.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

He is a fellow SDL fan , just you wait , if you start to actually beat some of these teams they will all start to change their opinions , they are fine at the moment wishing you all the best and giving their support , but you start taking points off them with a few quality aussies and all hell will break loose

I am not bitter as it doesn't make any difference to me but if you ask any Bradford fans you will find they are bitterly divided in their opinions of Noble. As i said earlier much of the groundwork was already done for him and he inherited a ready made team which only needed tweaking for success.
All the best with him, i am only stating an opinion which is shared with many Bradford fans i know, as for Wigan i cannot comment.
