Its just a shame that a Championship side has to be relegated to make way for the welsh. If the RFL had any ba..s they would of put them in championship 1 and made them prove they could hack it, but thats the RFL for you, saving face again not to mention the thousands of pounds they have put into something that everyone knew would never work.

So if Wakefield had missed out on the franchise, you would have put them down in championship 1 and made them earn their place back up in chamionship?

Toulouse and Widnes are out anyway so surely we are taking one of those places and Swinton the other and the play off winners are replacing whoever finishes in the relegation spot (if indeed anyone does get relegated).

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
We all want you in next year. Does anyone know when you find out your future?
Woa there jonny , yes we are happy to see the Crusader club in the Championships , somewhere , but where they start has to be realistic both to the level of finance they can bring in and the quality of squad they can put together at what will be short notice , not forgetting the proviso of any potential parachute payments and quota exceptions
The smell currently emanating from Gareth Thomas's proposed move to W1g4n does not fill me with confidence as to the RFL s transparency in any matters concerning the Crusaders
My last comment is not meant as a criticism of the Crusaders club , more of the RFL and how they have handled the whole sorry experiment from day one

Expect to hear the outcome at the end of next week. Crusaders will be great for the Championship - a natural replacement for Widnes going up. Need another team west of the Pennines besides Leigh and Swinton. Leigh v Crusaders - bring it on!

The RFL came up with this amazing idea of awarding licences to enable clubs to play in Super League. Had any club, including Wakefield, not been granted a licence the arrangement was that the club would be demoted to The Championship. In the case of Crusaders they did not apply for a licence.2 distinct differences.
Will they be paying the equivalent rent as the soccer club for the use of the Racecourse Ground ?
Will the RFL be paying the salary of Rod Findlay or the new owners/supporters trust/Save Cru ?
Why did this possible scenario not apply to those supporters in Bridgend - you know the ones who incurred the wrath of those nice people who follow Widnes and Leigh before the Welsh club moved next to them at Wrexham ?
I must congratulate the RFL for enhancing the good name of the sport in Wales with their involvement with Samuels,Moss,Roberts and Retout.
Perhaps the only time we will come close to the Australians on the field will be when we have Australians doing the job at Red Hall.
Fantastic irony by Findlay asking the rugby league family to assist those rendered unemployed as coaches, players and (shop) staff.Shame he didn't do the same when a coach was unfairly dismissed and when Gateshead Thunder was liquidated.
