west bank 50-6 wigan riversiders like i said taught them a lesson 9 players i counted played against us last time and none of the wigan team wanted to no after 5 mins (when they scored). we had 15 vplayers it was a very scratched side and it was the first time 3 of our players had even played rugby. make excuses all you want but now new broughton have folded it means you men are more likely to come to us in a semi final and am sure the cowards that so called had things on today will have something else on too.
You and your team are my problem you come on here defended them, and your(wigan riversiders opinions on game make out you are the best team even when clearly beaten, just give a bit of credit thats all, but you have to have a pop a be a bitch about things

Defended who? What are you going on about?
One persons opinion doesn't necessarily mean it's everybody's.
What happened to the 40+ lads that were turnin up at Standish High ABP?
Little dicky bird tells me...If ya face don't fit (or you ain't got a season ticket!), you don't get a game? That reet?, and I don't mean that havin a pop like, just curious that all, heard it from a few that have turned up for you men pre season!

Strange whats happened this season, i think us running two teams has finally caught up with us to be honest. Fair play to WB this weekend i believe they played a very good game of RL against us. I wasn't there and AlexBP is correct with mentioning that 7 of the lads who played against West Bank last time out where watching Wigan in Catalan. No excuse, but it does show that our depth isnt enough yet.
The Riversiders started out as a "Supporters team" back in 2002, and continued to be so up until our debut league season in 2008. We are here to stay, and will continue to offer "any" players games during the summer months. We have players from Orrell St James, Wigan Bulldogs, Wigan St Judes, Wigan St Patricks and occasionally Shevington. So people advising that we are just a "season ticket" club is way off the mark. We also heard from lads at Spring View who wanted to keep fitness up during the off season and play for us.
2010 has proven a difficult year. But as all clubs do we shall re-build and come back stronger.

Cheers;
Fair Play.
Like I said it was only in conversation with a few lads that went down, and wasn't said being disrespectful of you guys....they just didn't feel like they could get involved/get a touch of the ball, because of numbers at training.

To be fair i can understand that comment, it got a stage when we had too many numbers! So it was hard to get everyone involved.
Like i say if any guys wanted to come down and play through the summer, then get down and see myself and we'll ensure everyone is welcome.
We once had a ref ask if we'd played Riversiders (we haven't), and then he proceeded to tell us at length they were a "right bunch of 'orrible b@stards".
I've met several of their players through supporting Wigan (they won't know me though), they seemed all right to me, even when paralytic and dancing on tables in the Irish bar in Perpignan.
