Warrington Game : Sat Jul 02, 2016 10:54 am
Everyone is saying how well Rovers did in getting a point out of the game, yes they did not deserve to get beat. In my mind they lost 2 points, due to bad decision making on the field or is it bad direction from the Coaching staff. Whichever it is in my humble opinion they should have taken the 4 opportunities handed them to take the penalty kicks for goal in the first half, even though we have a makeshift kicker I feel we should have been 14-0 up at half time.
Why we don't take goal kicks I will never know a goal is worth half a try 8 points are 2 tries, we struggled to score 3 tries in 80 minutes. After the kick we get the ball back, no brainer,, it has cost us games quite a few times over the past few seasons by not taking the points. On top of this the ball retention was terrible, losing it quite often the first tackle in good positions.
No we did not gain a point but lost 2.

So if we lost 2 were you expecting to get 3 for a win?

Yes it well may be a moan but when we are in the position we are in and looking forward to playing in the so called middle eights when we could well have been safe in Superleague in 2017 IF we had done the simple things better in previous games.
My post is what I believe cost us the game last night, which as a paying supporter and have been for over 55 years I believe I have the right to state what I think, no matter what your opinion is vekder.
Whether you think it is moaning or not
Regards to the points ok I take your point Sir Stan
Another reason we only got a point was the sending off of Green, for if we had the full complement on for 80 minutes we would have won

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result

Its ok saying we could have been 14-0 up but I'm sure Warrington will be saying the same as they bombed a few in the opening 15 it was an excellent result considering we usually collapse after 60 mins

I can see your point and I have been a fan for 50+ yrs but has it has been a poop season so far a point is better then none if all our good players had been fit all season we I reckon would have been at least 4th but we can not turn back time and like Frankie said makes a change from giving up on 60 mins :)

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.

Re: Warrington Game : Sat Jul 02, 2016 9:47 pm
All round kicking game, a weakness of ours all season, disappeared without a trace last night.

15 metre average gain at best on all our penalty kicks to touch. Shocking.
