Following a successful introduction of events last year, the Hull Kingston Rovers Heritage Committee has confirmed its calendar for 2016, with events taking place on the last Wednesday of every month at the KC Lightstream Stadium. The committee has been formed to celebrate the club’s proud history and culture and has hosted a series of popular evenings in the Legends Lounge over the past six months, with more to follow next season. The 2016 calendar of events begins on Wednesday, 27th January with An Evening with Mike Smith and Alan Burwell. The two former Rovers players and Great Britain internationals will be sharing tales of their respective careers, with those in attendance able to put their questions to the duo. The event will start at 7pm on the night and is free to attend, with the bar open on site. Other highlights of the 2016 schedule include a celebration of Rovers’ 10th year in Super League, An Evening with Colin Hutton and a look at local rugby league pioneer Kay Ibbetson.
