hi all - any one had any experience of travelling with charterplan coaches ? - formerly rugger express

My sister has booked 11 places leaving from Ice Arena at 07:15. I'd never heard of them before but on looking on the internet they took several coaches to the final last year from Castleford.

Noticed they've advertised in the Hull Daily Mail this week.

cheers easty - just getting a bit sceptical - after quiet a few with coach problems at the semi final - did your sister get confirmation booking

Yeah it came through by email from the Rugger Express email address, She also had the option of paying by bank trasfer or online over the phone. She choose to pay over the phone at an extra cost of 75p per ticket. Not alot on the internet about them but more importantly nothing negative.

On speaking to my sister she's said she'll get coach tickets posted out to her as early as Wednesday.

This is the response I got when posting a reply to their advert on totalrl forums asking for anyones experience of them.... Charterplan coaches bought Rugger Express which is a well known name in the rugby travel industry. We took hundreds of hull fc fans to Wembley and both hull kr & fc fans travelled to the magic weekend in Cardiff and Manchester. Also we have taken hull kr fans to Catalans Dragons. Hull tourist information were booking agents for Rugger Express in the past. We also advertise in the hull daily mail. Just found this as well. Hope these aren't the coaches they use lol. It does seem like the company have been around a long time though and the landline number, that currently is a fax number for a travel company (that sounded alarm bells for me!) is on the brochures from years ago, before they changed the formsat to 0161 from 061. https://www.flickr.com/photos/52213015@ ... il/?page=4

Not affiliation to this company. Rugger Express are genuine, or atleast they where. At the bottom of the Charterplan website they still have the old Rugger Express phone number, 0844 856 7811. The more I look the more I feel it is a genuine travel company. As Charterplans existing number 0333 444 0226 googled comes up with Soccerexpress which have ran a few football trips, Notably some Man City finals.

You say that (no affiliation) but the phone number on the brochures is the same as the 0161 number I found for the company. I rang it and got a fax line and when I googled it it is listed as the fax number for HoliidayGems.co.uk so alarm bells rang for me. I saw it on those Flickr photos though at the bottom of the page. When you look at the brochures closely the address is the same as well. Deffo the Charterplan still in operation today.

I saw the link to soccer express/rugger express. They say they bought out rugger express.

Coaches don't have there make painted in big letters on the side!!!
They have a manufacturers badge on the back!
