I like your wingers and if you had a good pack and pivots I'd agree, but when your pack is the worst in the league and you have no halfs and FB, is having two quota wingers a great idea.
You would be better having someone Paddy Flynn or Liam Kaye on the wing and spending money on more important positions.
Tbf, there's a difference between spending non-fed spots and spending money.
With seven quota spots available but more money to be made in the NRL, perhaps cash is a limiting factor, as much as quota places nowadays.
It's not like Hull haven't found room for a couple of non-fed wingers. Fair enough, you also used 3 spots in the backrow, but we've invested in overseas halfs. With a fairly limited return so far this year, admittedly. I don't think the problem there is allocation of spots across the squad. The plan wasn't for Dixon form to dip so badly, or for Campese to miss so much of the season. Signing Clarkson and Mulhern to replace McCarthy, Cox, Ollet, Bailey/Puletua and Burke - that's not even wise with hindsight though.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Out of those, Ollett was the only one to keep, and he's done nothing.

Apparently we've already signed 3 players for next season .....I have no idea who they are, but I'm guessing that Danny Addy and Mitch Clark are two of them.
Regarding Danny Addy, he played the acting half role within the Summer Bash and seemed to have ball playing skills and he also has the physique to be a running forward .......Maybe he is targeted as our next loose forward ......He can sling the ball around and take the defensive line on ......He is only 25 so maybe the powers that be see him as an undiscovered championship player that can rip it up as a loose forward within the Super League ......After all, Hill and Walmsley only became the best props within our game because someone somewhere took a chance on them.
Regarding Mitch Clark, he hits the line with everything he has, fights to win the ruck and always determines that he will come out on top no matter what the battle is .......I would be more than pleased if he was a part of our pack.
And who the 3rd signing is .......I have no idea!
Fingers crossed Addy and Clark are a part of our squad next year ......That said, we still need a big name signing to complement our squad after Campo and Kelly leaves next year!
What with? My team are top of the SL, kr are only 9th, because hudds & Leeds are poor.
Being a bit simplistic there but I agree Hudds and Leeds being poor has helped you at the top but you missed Saints being rubbish and that Wire weren't the same without Sandow. Nice to show some humility though, thanks.

lucky for rovers that leeds and hudds are rubbish but a shame you couldn't take advantage of the rest
