Briscoe couldn't get into Wigans Team because of Radlinski even though Radlinski was playing crap at the time still better than old bent nose.

Oh and as for Briscoe,if he was that fab,why did Wigan see fit to let him leave?

I'm surprised that Newton's still being tolerated as much as he is. His defence is fairly lazy in a lot of respects (he seems desperate to get to the outside, even when he's made the tackle he seems as though he wants to get outside the makers and A defenders) and he doesn't add a lot of attacking flair. He was a decent-ish player for Melbourne, but I haven't seen that effort since he's been over here and that type of effort would only bring him up to a good standard, not what's required of a highly paid player at a team hoping to win the comp.

Didnt see him last night. Thought Galea looked very good in defence though. Newton was very very average.

I'm afraid I agree re: Newton, although he did pick up an injury and could be doubtful for next week. He throws some wild passes and offloads at times, but I'm still glad we have him in our squad as he is an overall excellent player.

Leeds were there for the taking considering the players they had out...don't fool yourself....if they had a full strength side out (or near as damn it) you wouldn't have been at the races!

maybe there bench was a little light but so was ours.
they had webb, Burrow, Buderas and Ali Lautiti out, who else???
we had Vella, Gene and Walker out too, so we also were a little light i think youll find.

In the first 2 games, our ball control has been poor and JM now needs to find a front row formula and then our half-backs will improve.

Anyway, Horne & Thorman are one of the shitest half-back pairings in the league, but I don't spend my time on the FC board telling you that...

Horne is a better 1/2 back than both dobson and cooke. thorman is gash though, I'll give you that. The best partnership between teh 4 of tehm would be dobson at 7 and Horne at 6.

Depends what way you look at it though, doesn't it. He's very good taking on the line and backing up, but his overall kicking game is pretty embarrassing for a top halfback. You'd be buggered if you just had him leading you around the park. Deepends what part of the respective players games you're refering to imo.

A mate of mine said he was injured in the warm up last night.
