He's a plodder at best, he runs half hearted, gets the odd offload away, gets brushed off tackles to easily like he did for there first try. Every now and again he'll have a really good spell where you think 'why can't he play like that all the time'
There must be plenty of props like that in the championship on half his wage.

All IMHO of course.

And my opinion to he started the game on Sunday and was absolutely shattered after 5 minutes and it wasn't till we got James green on we started to dominate all the props had good games except tilse hence why he had poor stints in the second half we were getting hammered for the first 10 minutes of the second half so webbo took tilse off and had to put green back on early and then tilse came back on with 6 minutes left to play, if we are defending a lead surely our most experienced prop that has played 200+ NRL games wouldn't sit out the whole second half?

You've just summed up Adam Walker this season in that post but no one is criticising him. As Sandro said Tilse big weapon is his off load but we so seldom back a prop up it doesn't get used enough. There have been far worse players this year than Tilse and if we're honest waste of cap currently is better leveled at a couple of other star players

I like Green he runs really hard but rarely breaks a tackle Tilse and Green are very similar but one gets slagged off constantly and the other is treated like some kind off god

We got physically dominated while tilse was on the pitch green came on and a few strong carries raised the crowd and the team, tilse is to soft people say his defence is good but it looks that way because opposition run at him because they know they can dominate him

Re: Maurice Blair : Tue Mar 22, 2016 7:56 am
I spoke to Dobbo after the game and he said Tilse was targeted because of his offloading. If you noticed, Salford committed 3-4 men in the tackle when Tilse carried - that has a tiring effect on both the player and the opposition - and it also provided space at acting half which French John and Lawler did to great effect.

Regarding Green, Dobbo said they know he isn't going to offload or play the ball quickly, which surprises him seeing how Greeny was known for it when he captained the academy.

During the course of a game teams have purple patches what your saying is Salford were dead and buried when Green was on but changing props changed the whole game Like I said Green runs hard but rarely breaks a tackle

Do props break tackles these days?

Maybe the wrong wording Green doesn't make much ground after the initial contact and I'm not saying Tilse does either but one gets slagged off constantly and the other doesn't when they virtually play the same

The game stats say differently about Tilse and Green
