Glad you've got some faith in this because I haven't. Leigh are a team used to winning with a fair mix of quality and nastiness, they'll be massively up for the MPG whereas we'd be nervous and edgy and a history of capitulation. Add into that Batley with the Kear factor of knowing how to get teams up for one off games and its a real minefield.

Everyone thought the same about Leigh last season yet they finished bottom they have a lot of pressure and expectation on them with the signings they made

They seem to be doing it more quietly this year and they have that experience under their belts.

Unfortunately, whilst Campese et al are stealing wages there's precious little can be done, I can see a KR v Leigh MPG, and Leigh shading it.

I would love to see this as the MPG, not because I wish you KR fans any ill or that I think we would win, mainly because I think it would be one of the noisiest matches that SL has seen all year & with a cracking atmosphere.

See you there.

Leigh look a much better team this time round. The signings they have made are good ones, both in the pack and in the halves. All depends on whether they can keep key bodies on the pitch come the middle 8s, because the usual suspects keep getting lengthy bans.

I reckon it will be them or London in the MPG against us or Salford.

One of the halves ripping it up for leigh is josh drinkwater who I said,we inquired about him but he wasn't interested in a 6 month contract.I said at the time we should have said thanks alot terry sort him a coaching job and sign drinkwater,no room for sentiment in sport.Maybe we may not have been in this situation now !

I know your a big fan of drinkwater but I don't think he's anything special ripping it up in the championship is a bit different to doing it in SL I think I'd rather we go for Soward

Totally agree with you about Jamie Sward, Frankie. Josh Drinkwater is none too shabby either. Travis Burns, enough said.

Re: Bottom calling : Fri Jun 24, 2016 8:00 am
Jamie soward would be fine by me as well, the whole point I was making was basically anybody other than campese would be fine.We all know campese has been a great player but time catches up with us all.Canberra knew what high risk the guy become he had been a terrific ambassador for canberra throughout australia, winning awards for his work in the community. You dont let somebody that valuable go without good reason and ricky stuart had dropped him down to playing for the mount pritchard mounties,as he had lost form completely. In the 1st dozen or so matches we saw what he was capable of,but the injuries he has suffered from for the last few seasons came back to haunt him,a similar situation to mick weyman and you have to say enough is enough, which mick weyman did to his eternal credit. Its a shame but despite his will to keep on playing terrys body has let him down, sad but fact.

I think Leeds and hudds though are genuinely poor, I know people except them to improve but I am not sure.
