I absolutely agree, he has played really well this year and deserves another contract, plus we will require a bigger squad in any case because if we don't have quality cover for most positions and injuries strike, it may make the difference between top eight and bottom four, we are in the former position this year so looking forward we need to make sure we have a squad big in both size and quality that will hopefully ensure we don't end up there again.

Is Welham OOC then?

Disappointing if he leaves, he's had a great season since TheSandercockFactor and rediscovered his fend.

Struggling to think where he's go other than Salford?

Some bloke of t'other forum reckons Cas are interested. I think that's garbage as they have just signed Crooks so another centre in unlikely to be their priority. He got a very healthy contract 3 years ago against a backdrop of rumoured Leeds interest (his agent probably invented both). He's looking at a paycut I suspect and doesn't like it. Factor in his testimonial in 2016 and I can see him signing eventually. He's not worth chasing with a bigger offer.

From a salary cap POV he'd be worth keeping, once he hits his testimonial 50k comes off his cap value.
