About 3yrs ago me and a few mates started the same thing as rovers supporters team and have only just entered the league as The mill(rovers had no interest as imo it could make the club look bad if it goes wrong)very long process alot of interest by ppl at 1st but without regular games players sign for other teams or cant be arsed, if you can get 20 odd ppl training every wk with no games or teams 2 play then the best of luck to ye,we spent 3 yrs gaining numbers by just playing games of touch against each other(some wks 5 ppl some wks 20 odd ,who wants to train and not play? as u cant start a team without numbers and trust me ppl turn up when it suits unless there signed up, even then its hard to get em down to train,dont waste any sponsors money unless u have at least 20 /25 ppl who turn up every wk, start it as a laugh with friends havin a few games of touch every wk as its more fun than training for no game and see how the numbers go but ppl do come and go hense 3 yrs later and they still struggle with getting the numbers especialy with injuries and bans.
