The owners of the shelved Ottawa Aces have opted to set up a new venture in the South West.
Cornwall Rl will play there home games at the Memorial Ground at Penryn.
They have been granted full membership of the RFL having taken on the Hemel Stags licence with the governing body.
The round trip from Doncaster to Penryn is 710 miles

Is this in conjunction with the Cornish Rebels, who were planning to approach the RFL for a place in League One, or in spite of them?

The RFL had sent out the message recently that League One was a dying duck. Why put new teams into a division they're removing all funding from and trying to throttle?

Isn't there something going on this week which will be trying to discourage pointless journeys which burn large amounts of carbon based fuel.

If one of the Cumbrian professional or amatuer teams were drawn away to play the Cornish team in the challenge cup competition it would be a round journey of approximately 1000 miles.
Wouldn't like to do that journey in an electric car.

The cynic in me suspects that the Cornish setup up will not have to survive on the miserly 20k handout. If their recruitment goes as expected they will be a Championship side in 2023. The us and them is looming large in this game and it saddens me that we are going to get left behind.

I suspect that when the Keepmoat is renamed as the Eco Power stadium it will be quite fitting that Eco Power make their money by recycling rubbish ,

I agree that's the plan with Cornwall, in which case put them straight in the championship rather than hammering another nail in League One's coffin
