Having watched the standard and intensity of the rugby league grand final, I think widnes will take a few stuffings next season. Be painful to watch but a good learning curve. I suppose it is what we have to strive to be.

Indeed. Great game. They are two of the most succesful clubs in the sport. Watch and learn.

Be very happy with 6 wins next season with one or two shocks in there.....i.e. Wire home and away .

Will definitely be tough next season against the likes of Leeds and Saints. But who knows... A steep learning curve with hopefully some good wins thrown in along the way. Will be interesting when the predictions thread gets going...

And of course Leeds and Saints are only mid table teams. Wait till you meet the league Leaders!

I partly agree to what you are saying mate, but we already have 12 new Superleague standard players and we need to be patient and build slowly.If we can build slowly and a few academy youngsters through like Gilmore,Mullaly,Alex Brown,Jack Owens,Craven etc, we will do fine.Ben Davies is only 21 and is doing well.Being fulltime and i hope Brewer will get them extremly fit and conditioned.I rather get in Superleague and take a few hammerings than to stay mid table in the Championship.In 3 years time i am sure we will be much stronger, under Ste O Connors management.

I'm pleased to see Widnes back and wish you well next season. Hopefully the traditional Easter Monday Widnes/St Helens derby match will be resurrected.

A few mullerings I am sure for year one, but I hope for a couple of decent results too... both accepted with good grace and enjoyed!!!
