 Devils See Red as Vikings Take the Two The weekends festival of Rugby League at St. James Park in Newcastle got underway with the Salford Red Devils up against the Widnes Vikings. It was eighth against eleventh with the Red Devils needing to win by thirty-three or more points to replace Widnes in the top eight. A win by four or more for the Vikings would see them up to sixth ahead of the other fixtures. The sun was beating down on a respectable crowd bolstered by plenty of neutrals taking in the great weather and awaiting the later games between the two Hull sides, and Leeds and Wigan. We were hoping for fast flowing rugby in great conditions and none of the refereeing bloopers that have dogged previous Magic weekends. READ MORE ON THIS STORY... |
