I can’t say I’m fond of Grix, but really don’t see what he’s supposed to do better? He’s working with the worst ever team in the SL era and results reflect that. Whoever you put in charge the result is the same, people can sling as many lazy cliche’s out as they want about coaching, motivation and structure blah blah blah but it’s just nonsense. Worryingly I think the players are putting the effort in and do have pride in the shirt people just can’t accept they’re awful and need an easy scapegoat.

Our players are better than Londons, swap coaches with them and you would see a big difference IMO.

Nah Im not having that, London are just miles better but fans just won’t accept it and need something easy to blame. It will be the same next season with Cartwright, a few losses in and fans with zero experience of the game who see nothing on the training field will be questioning things like the pre season, the attacking/defensive drills and the preparation methods of a bloke who’s been in the game for 50 years. It’s not just Hull fans it’s just the nature of the game when sides are in trouble, we just happen to be awful at the moment.
Martin and possibly Walker are our only backs/spine players who get near that London side and that’s been generous. Forwards are maybe matched on paper and reputation but they just have miles more skill and creativity in the backs.

I'd start a hooker at hooker for one.
I think we seriously dropped a nadger not replacing Reynolds. Think he was quite important to us, would have saved a quota spot.
However the non cohesion in attack and defensive is inexcusable. What do we work on in training?

I don't agree, Walker, Martin, Sutcliffe, Carlos and Trueman would get into their side.
Let's see how many of their side will be playing SL next year, probably only Rourke, the Leyland brothers and Davies, even then, they will be all back up players.
Better coaching improves sides and players, look at Arthur at Leeds, the way Rowley gets average players playing, Peters, Burgess the list goes on.
Grix doesn't have a great side, but we shouldn't be beat in the way we are, a better coach would do better..The way he handled players is poor too, Walker and Balmforth for example.

London have had the luxury, of knowing that whatever they did they were getting relegated. That has allowed them to play without fear and to enjoy the experience. That has been apparent every time I’ve watched them. It has meant that they could shrug off mistakes and just ‘carry on regardless’. Plus they haven’t seen the disruption of injuries and or change of playing staff we have. We, on the other hand have seen constant change and also the pressure that comes with playing for Hull FC when the whole of RL wants to see us fail. Anyone present at Magic weekend will have witnessed that. Every neutral in the ground was rooting for London. That doesn’t help and may well hinder the development of the younger players who have been seriously over exposed to rigours of week in week out SL. We all knew that this season was a write off and a chance to reset. It was unthinkable that it would be this bad though. As has been said, announcements on the future of the club, financial and staff wise, can’t come soon enough. I fully understand the despair felt by many and their reluctance to ‘go round again’ and that many probably won’t. For what it’s worth I’ll be subjecting myself to it once again. I guess I probably need my bumps felt !!
Grix has pretty much admitted he doesn't know what the answer is on fixing the issues.
He has inherited a poor squad but he has done little to improve things aside from that mini spell when we beat Leeds and Wigan as well as putting in reasonable efforts in defeat to Warrington, Salford and Catalans. He's been in charge for some horror shows though such as last night, London away, Magic and Saints away, some our our worst performance this season.
His post match interview on Sky Sports lasy night summed him up for me. Stuart Pyke asked him what he had to say about the game. "Huh! Not much!" Imagine this leader of men trying to motivate a side.
His win record as it stands is 11%, the worst in the club's history, even worse than Steve Crooks and Tony Gordon.

what you have missed and has to down to the coaching staff at London is they have been getting better has the season evolved are are actually competing with teams much higher in the competition
