Scapegoat when Hall isn't playing. : Sat Mar 27, 2010 7:11 pm
Tonight it seems as though it went to Lyne.

Not going to moan about his performance because I thought it was daft to play him. Agar thought this game would be easy therefore played Lyne. He did well taking the ball up in attack but got found out in defence.

Chin up lad.

As for Briscoe. Hmmmm!? Couldn't even defuse a bomb when Longy helped take out the player!

as i said before think Hall is being dropped for a lot less than the mistakes briscoe makes.

Agar, plain and simple.

It was his idiotic decision to play Lyne, no one elses.

People were raving about our squad at the start of the season, but lets be honest about the backs.

On one wing we've got the inexperienced Briscoe, who has the potential but isn't the finished article. Next to him we have Yeaman who drifts out of games for long periods, hogs the ball when he does get near it, and hasn't progressed to the next level since 2006/2007 when he was last in form.

on the other side we have Whiting who is very solid and dependable, but lacks the pace to be a centre, and is really a 2nd row or loose.

Calderwood is IMO a top class winger, but so far this season we've barely seen him.

the backup options are Hall who is good in attack but can't tackle, and Lyne who doesn't look SL ready yet.

overall the back line is just too weak

Agreed about Reece Lyne

He did what he could but isn't ready. You have to blame the numpty who put him in the firing line.

The kid isn't going to turn round and refuse the chance to play, but he shouldn't be put in that situation at this stage of his career. Tonight could set him back years.

Totally agree, can't believe he has played him over hall tonight with 2 vital league points at stake, not blaming the kid he did his best but clearly nowhere near ready for SL, hope that Agar hasn't damaged him, he looked petrified poor sod. Agar your a disgrace.

Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

You, the team had no heart and sole tonight because you were too busy on here  :D

Hall didn't do alot long wrong this season and certainly looked improved in defence until his one bad game at Wigan. Since then, Agar has snubbed him and played Lynne infront of him tonight which is a real kick in the teeth for Hall.

Poor treatment of Hall and poor team selection tonight from Agar.
