Rule is letting us down gently. No new signings to come until 2012. Dowes maybe but he is not a new signing.
I know I've asked this before, but I'm now of that age where I can't remember what I had for my tea. If Dowes doesn't sign for us, where is he going? Who else is in for him?

He'd be looking at Championship, probably. Maybe Wakefield would have a punt on him, you know what Kear's like with collecting ex-fc players
Which begs the question: If that's the case why would we.....
What sort of chunk of the cap would Dowes be taking? I think the main reason Calderwood was released was (I'm guessing) the salary he was commanding - we'd have risked the injury liability if he was on a similar wage to, say, Briscoe, Turner and Sharp.

i dont read much in rules words,i think its just a case of wait and see.hulls signings tend to come out of the blue anyway.it wouldnt surprise me if we announced a couple of signings in the next fortnight.but at the end of the day nobody outside the club has any idea.
could any of these signings be playing for England in the 4 nations
People not getting it! Fitz has basically been playing as a prop, just the number 13 on his back rather then 8 or 10! Like you say Paul, he will play the same game where ever he plays.
Exactly. Now I'm not suggesting they're on a par as players, but I find it strange that Radford was pilloried for not offering what people expected of a loose forward whilst Fitzgibbon is lauded, as they have both done exactly the same job there, just to differing levels.
For some reason, people seem to struggle seeing beyond the shirt number at times. It was the same when we had Cooke and Horne wearing 6 and 7, respectively.
