There are two inconsistencies with this rumour anyway:

1. Buying out Kath wouldn't give them control of the club, so why would they bother?
2. The figure being touted (£3m) is too much for just Kath's shares and short of figures already declined for purchase of the entire club.

Overall it seems like nonsense. Guess we'll find out in fairly short order.

It was the sign of somebody earlier in the thread praying that the Allams would take over. Clearly that really was someone praying they don't and I was badly mistaken.



The arguments you describe here are amazingly similar to those put up in the halcyon days of David Lloyd's tenure. Still that was a long time ago and we should forget how critically close we were to having no club. After all the club is being run so badly now we've barely got 2 halfpennies to rub together.

Knowing Ehab, he would only entertain the possibility of buying Hull FC if he thought they could run it as successfully as current owners and ultimately achieve success with it. As for the talk of buying the stadium, if they bought it (which not sure they would to be honest) they would be quite happy with Hull FC continuing to share even if they do not own the club, as its an important part of the revenue stream for the Stadium.

I just don't get the Phelps one. Surely we had enough money on the cap before Berrigan left to get him in for pre season. With him begging for a job on Twitter I would hardly see negotiations taking long.
