The problem is the gulf between Regular S/L and Reserve/Academy is huge
They have to develop as you say and this is why we need to have a weekly reserve fixure.
As i said several weeks ago the five or six clubs who now run reserve teams should enrol in League 1 and that would ensure a meaninful weekly reserve fixture.
I my opinion we dont have any forwards that i have seen who could step up next season and play S/L regularly.
A full pre season, weekly reserve fixtures or Loans to Championship clubs and the occasional first team appearance will hopefully see one or two make the step up for 2025.
Expect to see some play at Doncaster next season in the Championship and maybe we will see us duel reg with them again for what its worth

I think he's probably referring to the blow outs we seem to have on a regular basis.
It's no good for the fans or youngsters to experience that, so throwing them in to the team and getting hammered will not be overly beneficial.

Wigan and Saints blood youngsters into a strong winning culture.
Something we're miles away from.
Hardly think a go follow Wigan comment to be constructive.

No poop Sherlock….I never knew that in supporting this club for 48 yrs that it was about winning and not losing.Every team gets a battering ..admittedly we have had a few in our end of season slumps but that should deter us from using young ones when we have to but it won’t matter to you would it as they will never match up to our all conquering 2nd row from 16 &17…that was in the past but your still stuck there aren’t you.

of course fans don't accept 50 point blow outs. But also to continually moan all the time doesn't help either. Yes we are all entitled to our opinion but why follow a team that in essence you seem to dislike?. This is a fresh start for us after years of struggling. Of course we won't know if it's a false dawn till we start. But jeez be nice to get behind the team . It's the hope that kills you

If I disagree, I am not usually doing so in an inflammatory, manner, however, you immediately revert to type, baiting people. I’ve seen some fearsome hammerings,the pitch invasion,nearly going bust and some right god awful teams but we still get behind the team as what’s the point in moaning all the time.Not long ago under Cunningham stswere awful.Wigan and Leeds have cboth been awful as well.Hell Wigan nearly went down..Look at Bradford.Hope does kill you but when the success happens it’s oh so sweet and we don’t demand it like a certain club in Merseyside…Our time will come again,when? We don’t know but it will be still as sweet.
