IIRC, we were in the hunt for him before he went to Saints. Would have preferred him to have signed then.

Kearney denies he has spoken to Roosters officials about the post but his manager, Chris Orr, told Sydney's Daily Telegraph they would consider an offer from the Roosters.

"If the Roosters or any club come knocking, we will look at it," Orr said. "But Steve is in no hurry. He's not searching. Whatever job he decides to take, he will make sure it is the right one."
