Gale’s best game in a Hull shirt today. After that needless penalty at the PTB he stepped up and kicked very well.

Great effort from all our debutants. Thought we got lucky with that late disallowed Rovers try, but we had days when we haven’t had the right decisions go our way. A great individual hat trick from Mikey Lewis, shame he doesn’t play for us.

Hopefully this helps re-launch our season. It will be very tough at Wigan, but then chances against Cas and Toulouse, especially with a few bodies back.

Lucky to win that but Hodgeson mad a big statement with that result. Our defence was a shambles but he's brought in 3 players who were all excellent. And he promotes two kids with Laidlaw having a strong stint. I'm back to the Hodgo In camp.

Gale, apart from that silly penalty, was really good too. Lovadua never stopped running.That halfback pairing could work if they build off that.

Rovers down to 10th. If Wakey beat them next week and Toulouse also win then they're in a proper relegation scrap
