Although no one really knows who is the leadership group
I suspect griff will be on the list along with Shaul
and the nameless one ( I won’t name for fear of offending sensitive posters ).

Hope so.
Mind you some on here still think he is one of the best centres in S/L and future International

But look who his centre partner was.
I am sure you know it makes a huge difference if you have a good centre playing inside you.
playing Simm outside of Griffin who on current form is among the worst centres in S/L will hardly inspire confidence.
Like i said Play Simm in the centre and if we have to play Griffin because the coach doesnt have the confidence in one of our young wings
then play him on the wing

My in form predictometer says we will win albeit with a few concerns along the way.
This is the only round all 6 SL matches are broadcast live here. Really enjoyed the first 3 and hoping for similar in the last 3.
For those attending have a great day.

| I'd say it's definitely the correct time to move Griffin on, always had a questionable attitude for me, brilliant on his day, but thise days are getting more infrequent. Suffered a big injury and as people say he's come back a shadow.
Too many errors for me, and a couple of performances whereas he's totally looked disinterested has sealed it for me, I think Hodgsons last article about zero leadership has sealed the futures of Shaul, Griffin and Taylor away from the club.
Hopefully we find clubs willing to take over their contracts, I think if we can move Bowden on we l have no trouble finding a taker for Taylor and Griffin.......
Id say if we can sign the 3 Young lads on loan, we really need to find some vocal, experienced leaders.
Wouldn't mind seeing Sao get the captaincy personally, leads by example, huge work rate and big presence, never goes missing

| Easy to see why Rovers are favourites with the bookies. Given the relative weakness of our squad vs theirs I'd expect a reverse of around 30-40 points. Salford v Huddersfield is a really interesting match up.

Bennison, Grace, Lomax, Welsby, Lees, Roby, Knowles, Wingfield, Marshall, Smith, Powell, Byrne, Farrell, Shorrocks, Smithies, Partington, Havard. That was the home grown contingent in the game yesterday.
I really hope Hull and Warrington are able to transition the decent academy performances into first team yields, the more effective academies we have the better for everyone. But it’s a mistake to think that winning games at the academy level leads to that. From my own experience I have seen the unbeaten team of 2016 from Saints go on to yield, Grace, Costello and Richardson and that was it.
Oh, and Simm is a significantly better centre than he is winger. He’s played on the wing for Saints for most of the year due to Grace being injured, but some poor performances (including the Semi final of the CC) has really eroded his confidence in the position. If he’s to be successful you need to get him back in the centres and asap.

Left centre is where he played all of his junior rugby. In his one performance for Saints at left centre he scored a hattrick (against Leeds).
It’s just a shame for him that Percival, Mata’utia, Davies are all ahead of him as senior players for the position and Haynes is coming through as a left centre in the 18s at the moment, and Hill in the reserves too.

I don't think he was talking about Saints or Wigan, along with Leeds they are the bench mark, Huddersfield have also done well in that respect too. We certainly have the players and coaching staff at Academy and reserve level to be successful, just hope they can make the transition.
