Just a feeling, but I reckon they'll throw the book at him, the VR said it was deliberate.
Unfortunately I think you maybe right but I would seriously question how a VR can say it was deliberate? I think its fair to say that Gale is one of those players that doesn't go out with any intent or to deliberately injure a player. I would say it was most definitely careless and not sure I even go as far to say it was even reckless. Is you watch a lot of charge downs when a player tries to close down quickly many have a leading leg to help when they push themselves off they don't jump like a salmon. It wasn't a two footed kung fu effort and was nothing more than a genuine effort to charge the ball down that he got wrong though as its one of the clubs from Hull you can bet it will be given maximum penalty.
I hope that they also review the performance of Kendall & Moore in regards to two incidents that the on field ref didn't call but was told in his ear resulting in a yellow and red cards of which the yellow was a joke as Welsby played the officials and purposefully lifted his own standing leg which resulted in him going down. When you watch the incident back he plays he's hurt holding his neck but then suddenly jumps back up as though nothing has happened. Did Wynn lift one leg? Yes but did he lift it above horizontal and waist height? No.
