I came on here to give a detailed breakdown of how I saw the game, but most has already been said. We seemed to be highlighting the 6 again rule as being something we can really take advantage of, but when Shaul has come back looking as unfit as he does, and evidently losing a yard of pace, then we will not be able to take advantage of it. Noticeably as well, when there is a quick play the ball, defences are compacting behind the ruck to combat the scoots from acting half. The teams that will benefit from this, will be the ones who see the defence compacting and actually spread the ball at speed to the edges, they will be the ones that will benefit. We, sadly, cannot do this at all.
Reading Gaz Ellis on our soft underbelly, and the in between the lines of needing to be a right hard individual to even play our game, one incident springs to mind in yesterday’s game when “Lannon ” I think, smashed Fonua with an illegal and deliberate shoulder charge, which really should of been dealt with by the officials, I can think of other lesser thought of Hull teams who would have made sure this particular player got his pay back, one way or another, yet nothing happened, nothing, and subsequently said player continued to do what he wanted during the match. Little thing maybe, but shows this team, on that and other performances are not together, there is still something not right in our group, but if Last or AP doesn’t have the answer then I’m buxxered if I do.
Inspirational coach needed, I’ve changed tack big style, this promotion from within is a mistake as early as it is.
Last year's play the ball clamp down appears to have been rescinded, it certainly speeds up the play the ball when players walk over the ball with absolutely no backward movement of the foot to touch the ball. Makes life so much easier for the acting half back.
Can people remember Sean McRae calling out the attitude of the club years ago? Think he even called it a “cancer” at the club.
This attitude seems to be a prevailing, running theme. If being in and around Gaz Ellis every day doesn’t inspire you, you may as well give up.
The fact we have to keep rolling Gaz Ellis out in the side in the hope that he inspires players around him is pretty pathetic really, and sums up the attitude and mentality of our current captain, vice captain and other members in the senior group

Your right “ccs” but when Lolly runs through Jones 10 yards out, it makes you wonder wtf is happening to us.
The more I dwell on yesterday, the more I think Last should have been out the door right behind Radford. Purtill and Ellis should have been the interim leadership.
Carlos was the only player who looked at all bothered about playing some rugby for 80 minutes. Shaul has had one good game since 2016 (Leeds Rd 1) and has gone backwards by miles, his attitude absolutely stinks which will happen when the coach is your best mate. I hope to god him and Houghton are off to the championship as neither would get into any other SL side on this season. With relegation off the table, anyone OOC should be sent on gardening leave to try and cut the rot IMO.
Dropping a few will make little to no difference, our entire game plan is dreadful. Hearing Lasty bemoaning errors 'coming out of yardage' spoke volumes for me. We PERSIST in one out barges in our own half - where almost every time our lone soldier gets met at the gainline, mullered & then turned on his back, necessitating a very slow play the ball which leads to slow service to another lone runner who meets a very quick advancing defensive line................... oh & then we kick it back to them & have to defend against quick play the balls, multiple bodies in motion & creativity in play. No wonder our guys are gassed !!!!
Our gameplan is SOOOO Flawed & ten years out of date. I really thought the break would change things ??
Can't believe how easily we are outflanked by almost every team, often with just conventional passing - BUT opposition draw a man before passing unlike our 'shovel it on 10 metres from the gainline'. You know like we were all coached to do as 8 year olds.
Really feel for AP, his face was thunder & nobody should doubt his passion. In the clubs defence this squad was assembled to play Bradford Bulls Rugby - the COVID version of the game is not suited to this squad.
His passion is not in doubt but his decision making has proved to be flawed. He is solely responsible for the situation he finds himself in. Bradford Bulls rugby was obsolete well before Civid-19 became an issue as was recognised by many of your supporters.
