Crocker is better than either of them and Manu offers something different. Luauki I have as a direct replacement for Manu. He could play prop which would leave a slot for Radford or Tickle. Maybe the new no.7 would be a kicker?

If Crocker and Lauaki finally get here, our pack will be sufficient for this season but will need a couple of in/outs for next season. If we want to compete at the VERY TOP of SL

We desperately need to recruit a scrum half, centre and full back and the only way do do that is to finally rid our squad of the mediocrity that is way too abundant within it. This should have been done a long time before Peter Blunt was allowed to start handed out contract extensions.

Finally, why on earth don't we go out and spend some of this £££££ that we obviously have coming in, in comparison to most other clubs anyway, on a top quality, proven coach ??? Saints and Leeds have set the benchmark for so long now and, aswell as their obvious quality squads, they always have a top proven coach. When either of them lose their coach, they go and get another internationally established one and make it look as easy as picking an apple from a tree.

For next season, in an ideal world and salary cap allowing, I would like to see...

Qualiy new coach Kearney/Foulkes

Quality full back
Calderwood
Quality centre
Yeaman
Raynor
Horne
Quality scrum half
Dowes
Berrigan
Quality prop
Crocker
Tickle
Washbrook/whiting

Lauaki
Quality prop

Houghton/a SR forward like Gilmour


For this to happen, contracts allowing, the following would be gone Cusack, Radford, King, Lee, G Horne, Motu, Byrne.

For a start, some of the players mentioned are contracted.

Secondly, even if we did get rid of them, getting 'quality' replacements in each of the positions you have mentioned, as well as a quality new coach, does seem rather unlikely, yes.

I can see us getting turnd over on Friday (praying I am wrong) and expect Agar to get the boot, with Sharp stepping up as coach.

Briscoe/New centre
Yeaman

R Horne
New 7
Dowes
Berro
Radford
Tickle
Crocker
Washy

Lauaki
Thacks/King
Houghton/Lee
Manu

Would still then have in reserve:
Thacks or King
Maloney if he gets a new deal
Houghton or Lee
Burnett
Whiting
G Horne etc etc

Thats for me if coached correctly is a decent squad, and we arent far off.
