Why cant you just say it how it is? the bloke maybe a nice guy, but was totally useless coach, took us back years, wasted the last 3 seasons, and to have only have to his credit bringing through only 2 youngsters, one of them not even from hull is a disgrace. Good riddance and thanks for nothing!
Said weeks ago on here that Bomber was coming back as DOR, great news, top top bloke, lets hope he can get in the top 1st team coach that we deserve!!!

To be honest I'm a little sad that it didn't quite work out for Rich, I really wanted it too. All the best for the future to him, I don't think anyone can argue that he worked hard for our club.
Having said that I'm glad Bomber is in at DOR. He understands what Hull FC 'is' and more importantly he knows how rugby should be played. He'll find the right coach.

Forgetting Mr Agar for a second (Which shouldn't be very hard to do) lets think a little objectively about this appointment.

McRae seems to have failed everywhere he's been since Hull. He was also very close to retirement at the end of this season. That all appears to be bravado now but still, if he had, I wouldn't have been too surprised.

I don't want to come across harsh on the man, he's the first FC coach I can truly remember. As a kid I thought he was the knees of a bee, but I'm a little unsure now as to his credentials.

Maybe I just don't know what a DOR actually is and I'm a little confused about his role. That might be creating the doubt.

Will the new coach be working under him? If so, will every candidate want to do that?

Agar is gone.

However a little restraint might be in order.

Can we fully clarify what he'll do, recruitment aside, 'Shaun will be responsible for all aspects of the playing side at the club' seems a little vague to me.
