I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

That's the conundrum I guess Dave and whether he can carry the same level all through next season too.

I'm not fussed on losing Dwyer despite the possibility of Houghton retiring as he is still too much in the headless chicken mould but doing a job needed at present.
If we could sign a player like Ackers or similar then I'm sure we could find a decent 9 in the lower leagues without breaking the bank if Balmforth goes or isn't quite ready. TS spoke well of Balmforth recently so not sure whether he's staying or going, most thought Staveley was as good as leaving yet he's signed a new deal so who knows.

What is clear though is we certainly need a quality 9 regardless.

Someone now mentioning it on Casforum

There's an interview with mark Flanagan this morning where he says him and his brother made accounts and posted on the Salford forum he was signing for cas, the RL press picked up on it and as a result he got more money out of Salford and a 3 year deal rather than a two year one... best not to believe the forums!

Yeah I did see the clip

The poster on casforum has been pretty Bob on though. Mentioned Mamo going, Will Tate and Sam Wood signing. Although he did say Vete was on his way here

Hope their is nothing in it. Only way I can get my head round it is that Watts is seen as Evans replacement and we use Ashworth as a bench SR.

Have a pack and bench like:

Fash, New 9, Sao, Griffin/New SR, New SR, Cator

Taylor/Watts, New prop, Ashworth, Another.

I'll start panicking more if journalists link us to him

Hudds look to be signing Adam Milner immediately. If we are in for Ashworth, wonder what the possibility of him joining this season are?

Sounds like they were shopping him around earlier in the season

Market is pretty meh here and in the NRL.

Only ones that jump out are Leeming, Turpin or if we take a punt on Jayden Berrell but not sure if he'd get a visa

I really hope we do not make a play for Turpin.
He was pants at the Broncos and is the epitome of bang average, although the NRL is another level compared to SL, so who knows? His defense is very good , he is aggressive and a player who makes a nuisance of himself, but I never saw him be creative enough, when I saw him play at half back and latterly hooker..

Agree on Turpin, very average hooker, solid in defence, offers little threat in attack.

If Hudds are at the cap with their squad id be amazed.

Hopefully bring him in early, get him settled and give us another body.

Amazed no one has been in for Savelio, he would massively improve Cas or Wakey.
